Swinging into Spring
by Kate Holmes
One of the reasons we all love
Spring so much is that it's a renewal: of our spirits, of our outlook, and of
nature herself. The comforting cycle of the seasons is turning now to the
fulfillment of the winter sleep. Buds form, leaves unfurl, baby birds are
born...and we too feel renewed along with the plants and animals.
You're partaking of nature's
cycle when you REcycle. Grant a new breath of fresh air to possessions as varied
as a crisp pair of linen trousers to a wonderful, age-patina'd garden table.
Shop resale for a new-to-you, new-to-this-season treat for yourself, your family
or your family home and welcome the new season in, in style and in economy.
After all, Spring is the time for green things to grow... and the green in your
wallet to be conserved.
And Spring is the time for
housecleaning, as well. Nothing makes you feel quite so good when it's done:
closets pared down to only the things you love, cupboards cleared of clutter.
The average American owns 52 things that, if
they evaporated tomorrow, the owner wouldn't miss.
Watch as I choose,
then find new homes for, my
52 things.

can help you. Once you have divided the items you no longer use
into "consign", "donate" and "of no earthly use to
anyone", check out how to make your
items more desirable to buyers and worth more money in your pocket.
Finally, now that you have all
that wonderful space in your home, reward yourself by shopping
resale! After all, our motto
is ReSell..RePlace..ReJoice!
