Q: How do I tell what type of Sponsor I am?Subtle, huh? Pot of gold = value to readers.... so YOUR shop gets associated with VALUE!!

A: All Treasured Sponsors have the little "pot of gold" icon next to their names and are listed in a box at the start of each state/province’s listing. Valued Sponsors listings are below the Treasured box. 

Why is this site called HowToConsign when it's SO much more?
We use the web address www.HowToConsign.com because anything longer would be hard for your customers to remember.
We cover not only consigning underloved items, 
but selling to shops 
and donating to charitable stores 
and of course we cover shopping and buying resale

Look through our site. You'll find our info applies to your business as well, and I hope
you will find this site invaluable
for the smooth and pleasant operation of whatever variety of resale business you operate.

Q: When does my Sponsorship expire?

A:  All Sponsorships are valid until July 1. Rates are adjusted throughout the year to give you full value; there may be price reductions and added value sometimes, too! See our Sponsor Page for current deals.

Q: I didn't realize my Sponsorship was expired! How do I re-up? 

A: Simple; just click on the level of Sponsorship you want on our Sponsor Page. Remember to tell me your URL or, if you don't have a web site yet, the information I will need to create and host just for you, an e-business card. (See an example for some ideas on what you may wish to include: TheRedDress.)

Q: My web site’s almost finished. How do I replace my free e-business card listing with my new site?

A: Just email me when your site is ready with your new URL, and I’ll replace your e-business card with your "real" site.

Q: Where’s my Certificate of Appreciation?

A: Good question! It’s in my computer! Simply email me with your name and shop/ city and tell me you’re ready to have me send your to you via PDF, so you can print it out in full glorious color and frame it on your Brag Wall in your shop.

Q: How I help your site help me and my clientele?

  • Proudly display your Sponsor badge, a mark of your business professional affiliation on your web site, in your blog, on your Facebook page. 

  • add value to your site: Send your viewers to the informational essays on HTC with one or more of our graphic banners wherever it's suitable on your site. 

  • Prefer not to use a banner? You're welcome to just use a link in your text like this example:

  • add the URL of HTC to your business card, "how-to" brochures, bag-stuffers, and other handouts,

  • When a visitor in your shop mentions another city, see if there's another HowToConsign shop there and refer them...write the shop's info on the back of one of your business cards and chances are that shop will find out you recommended them. They might even send you a thank-you note!
